At times we face difficulties that might impact us and bring discord to the family. We see potential in our family members and strive to work on presenting issues. Sometimes our perceptions and experiences get in the way of truly understanding each other and our needs.
Family counseling enhances relationships and understanding within a family. It focuses on the needs of the family and when one family member suffers from a mental or physical illness that alters his or her behavior or habits in negative ways.
Part of the goal is to observe interactions between family members and how the family members deal with disagreements and how these are resolved.
Our goal is to help the family reflect on better ways of communicating with each other. We work on the development of new and more positive ways of connecting to replace old negative communication patterns so that the family can enjoy a closer and happier life.
